FIELD: high-voltage power engineering; attachment of insulators, wires, screens, guys, miscellaneous high-voltage members to supports of high-voltage power transmission lines. SUBSTANCE: hardware is, essentially, straight or bent rod one of whose ends is meant to carry high-voltage member to be secured and other end is connected to line support. Mentioned rod is covered with insulating coat applied to its side surface as well as to surface of end meant to carry mentioned member; breakdown voltage of mentioned insulating coat is higher than discharge voltage over mentioned coat surface; length of mentioned coat L is to be found from equation 0,06•U0,75, m, where U is rated voltage of transmission line, kV. EFFECT: improved protection against spark-over turning into power arc, improved operating reliability, and facilitated installation of hardware on line or substation. 4 dwg
