FIELD: centrifugal separators for gas cleaning from liquid impurities with use of centrifugal forces developed in swirling of gas flow; may be used in gas, petrochemical and other industries. SUBSTANCE: separator has cylindrical body accommodating cylindrical swirl chamber with gas inlet and outlet pipes, and liquid discharge unit. Swirl chamber form together with separator body a receiver of separated liquid. Installed at inlet of swirl chamber is fairing connected with central body of vane swirler whose ends of inclined vanes are installed with clearance relative to swirl chamber walls. Vane swirler is made with diameter of central body not exceeding 0.5 of fairing diameter partially overlapping the inlet edges of inclined vanes. Clearance between external edges of swirler vanes and wall of swirl chamber equals 0.01-0.001 inner diameter of swirl chamber. Fairing diameter equals 0.4-0.6 inner diameter of swirl chamber. EFFECT: higher separating efficiency and productivity, extended range of operation, reduced overall dimensions and weight characteristics. 3 cl, 3 dwg
