PRESSURE STABILIZER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: equipment for regulating changes in pressure in the process of pumping working fluid through small-diameter pipelines of power units, technological systems of petrochemical, chemical-pharmaceutical and biological industry. SUBSTANCE: pressure stabilizer has connecting branch pipes 1, housing 2 with deflectors 3 attached to inner surface of housing 2 and serving plugs for central pipeline 4 with perforations 5. Central pipeline is mounted within housing 2 in spaced relation with respect to housing wall so as to define annular gap. Damping chamber 6 disposed in central pipeline cavity is made in the form flexible enclosure with elliptical section. Ends of damping chamber 6 are fixed on deflectors-plugs 3. When pressure stabilizer is to be mounted in pipeline with increased working pressure, inner cavity of damping chamber 6 must be filled with pack 7 of elastic damping material. EFFECT: reduced dimensions, decreased rigidity of construction and increased yielding within the range of working pressures. 2 dwg
