FIELD: shipbuilding; control of vibrations caused by operation of ship's propellers. SUBSTANCE: method consists in isolation of ship's hull from propeller by blowing air in space between them; isolation is effected by forming artificial air cavity on surface of bottom adjoining area of propeller position. Air for forming the cavity is fed after cavitator, for example, after inclined plate or planing step located on bottom across flow. EFFECT: reduced intensity of surge pressure acting on ship's hull surface and reduced vibrations. 4 dwg
