FIELD: mechanical engineering; exhaust mufflers with gas cleaning means. SUBSTANCE: muffler has swirl chamber with inlet branch pipe, inlet scroll and two outlet radial slot diffusers shaped so that ratio of diameter of diffuser and diameter of chamber does not exceed 3, diffusers being connected with exhaust branch pipe through additional chamber. Muffler has also exhaust gas cleaning means made in form of insulated wire electrode laid along muffler axis and connected with high voltage pulse source. EFFECT: reduced noise produced by exhaust gases, enhanced cleaning of exhaust gases. 1 dwg
