FIELD: spectrometric measurements of relative areas of objects differing by optical characteristics. SUBSTANCE: method determining areas of objects includes generation of images with their subsequent deciphering and analysis. Energy characteristics of images are measured in this case in several spectral channels and relative areas of similar objects are computed by solving of system of equation. EFFECT: expanded field of application of spectrometric measurement, increased productivity and efficiency of work, reduced labor input and time of measurement . 1 cl, 2 tbl
