FIELD: acoustooptics, applicable at designing of acoustooptical devices for processing of radio signals. SUBSTANCE: acoustooptical deflector uses a solid-state light-acoustic conduit of piezoelectric photoelastic material, having the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped with a multielement piezoelectric transducer located on one of its faces; the transducer elements are made in the form of a sequence of strips parallel to one of the ribs of the rectangular parallelepiped. Two opposite faces of the light-acoustic conduit perpendicular to the face with the multielement piezoelectric transducer have additional electrodes; each electrode has the shape of a strip, whose one of the wider sides coincides with the rib of the rectangular parallelepiped connecting two faces, one of which carries the strip, and the other accommodates the multielement piezoelectric transducer. The additional electrodes may be made on the faces of the light-acoustic conduit parallel to the strips-elements of the piezoelectric transducer; each electrode has a rectangular slot, whose width coincides with the length of the strip-element of the piezoelectric transducer, and the slot center lies on the axis of symmetry of the piezoelectric transducer. Besides, the additional electrodes are made on the faces of the light-acoustic conduit perpendicular to the strips-elements of the piezoelectric transducer.
