FIELD: measurement technology, instruments measuring flow rate of liquid with use of ultrasound. SUBSTANCE: prism of converter is fitted with wedge absorber of ultrasonic energy to diminish reverberation component of radiated signal emerging in converter and to decrease values of noises thanks to it for provision of growth of probing signal-to-noise ratio. Absorber is made by way of symmetric cutting of sides of prism in its upper and rear parts with reference to piezoelement at angle ensuring maximum suppression of parasitic signal reflected from working surface of prism.
