FIELD: transmission of signals.
SUBSTANCE: use for emission and reception of ultrasonic signals in ultrasonic equipment. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that the separately-combined piezoelectric transducer comprises a cylindrical housing, prisms installed in the housing and separated by an acoustic screen and emitting and receiving piezoelectric elements, and the prisms are in acoustic contact with said piezoelectric elements, wherein at least one said prism has samples, wherein the samples are made on the prism on the side opposite to the piezoelectric element in the zone of abutment of the said prism to the housing and to the acoustic screen.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of increasing the service life of the transducer by reducing the probability of edge chips and damage to the acoustic screen, as well as providing the possibility of reducing spurious noise and the probability of false measurements.
