DEADEND CLAMP Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: power engineering; supporting conductors and ground wires of overhead power transmission lines. SUBSTANCE: deadend clamp has body holding split bolted-type die clamp built up of moving plate and fixed supporting plate having roller with wire-receiving chute secured in its center by means of pin and lock. One end of supporting plate has hole for attachment to insulator string and its other end carries bolted-type clamp. One end of moving plate is joined to roller pin and its other end is also provided with hole for attachment to insulator string; this hole is brought in alignment with that in supporting plate to form common thimble for fixing the clamp to insulator string.
