FIELD: polymer processing technology. SUBSTANCE: method relates to producing sheet profiled material with longitudinal spaces. According to method, molten polymer is extruded through slot-type extrusion head with production of extruded sheet in the form of profiled structure and flat external surfaces. After that, obtained extruded sheet is calibrated by means of calibrating device which is provided with at least one cooling jacket for formation of geometric dimensions of extruded sheet and for crystallization of polymer. Pulling of extruded sheet is effected by means of first pulling machine. Then, extruded sheet is subjected to surface heating in thermal chamber, and heated sheet is cooled in cooling device. Extruded sheet is laterally cut in cutting device, and cut-off sheets are stacked by means of receiving device. After cooling of extruded sheet applied to its upper and/or lower surface are protective films by means of second pulling machine incorporating device for application of protective film. Protective film is brought into pulling rolls of second pulling machine together with extruded sheet and is rolled down by rolls to corresponding surface of sheet. In second pulling machine, extruded sheet is subjected to tension required for optimal carrying-out of thermal treatment processes. Application of aforesaid method allows for reduction of cost of process line for manufacture of profiled articles together with reduction of cost of produced articles.
