FIELD: pipeline fittings, in particular, valves for cutting off pipelines and regulating flow rate of medium such as steam or water under high temperature and pressure. SUBSTANCE: lock valve has body provided with inlet and outlet branch pipes and connected with strap, stem hermetically positioned within valve body for axial reciprocation along body and connected with spindle coupled to strap through threaded connection. Stem is made from titanium alloy and has oxide film formed upon exposing of stem to thermal oxidation. EFFECT: increased service life of stem and lock valve due to usage of titanium alloy with oxide film inhibiting development of corrosion. 3 cl, 1 dwg
