FIELD: high-temperature heaters, in particular, resistance furnaces for metallurgy, powder metallurgy and high-temperature synthesis. SUBSTANCE: carbon electric heating member is made from foil sheets of heat-extended graphite. These sheets are perforated, joined into packets and clamped by heat-resistant fasteners, in particular, sewed with carbon thread and spreading composition, which is subjected to carbonation upon heating, over joints. Lines of joints are arranged in longitudinal direction at edges and center. Distance between joints and distance between packet edge and line is in range of 1 to 10 packet heights. Distance between lines is in range of 1 packet height to half of packet width. EFFECT: decreased cost of usage, simplified design. 4 cl, 1 dwg
