FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method for making metallic combination material comprises steps of applying material of different composition at least on one surface of main blank; passing main blank through melt whose material properties are the same as properties of main strip for inverse crystallization of melt material on strip for forming carrying profile. At predetermined distance from melt bath surface behind strip outlet from melt bath, combination profile is displaced to carrying profile and it is welded to surface of carrying profile. Apparatus for performing the method includes electric furnace arranged at one side of metallurgical vessel with melt. Combination profile is passed through furnace for heating it. Then profile is displaced to main blank with melt crystallized onto it, and profile is pressed to blank by means of guiding rollers. EFFECT: possibility of manufacturing profile of combination material having different properties, various melting and solidifying temperature values by means of simple equipment. 10 cl, 1 dwg
