FIELD: geodetic measurements, determination of tilting of cylindrical structures. SUBSTANCE: in correspondence with method tilting is determined by difference of vertical angles measured by theodolite installed at point of laying out network between pairs of marked points on surface of cylindrical jacket. Design difference of vertical angles for corresponding pairs of marked points is computed in advance. Eight marked points are used to determine tilting and one pair of points matches longitudinal axis of structure. Tilting components are obtained by measured differences of vertical angles: as well as value of tilting K= , where K is elevation expression of tilting; Kx is longitudinal component of tilting; Ky is lateral component of tilting; Li is computed distance from point of laying out network to nearest marked point; Lk is computed distance to remote marked point; Δνmeas is measured difference of vertical angles ahead of corresponding pair of marked points; Δνadv is computed difference of vertical angles for corresponding pair of marked points. Values L and Δνadv are computed by design coordinates and by marks of marked points and point of laying out network. Determination of value of elevation expression of tilting makes it possible both detect and timely correct tilting of cylindrical jackets during mounting.
