EXTRUDE HEAD WITH ADJUSTABLE PROFILE OF FORMING CHANNEL Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; extrusion treatment of thermoplastic materials. SUBSTANCE: extruder head has die with forming channel, profiling plate, follower and roller. Profiling plate is made for overlapping the forming channel. Head die has spring whose opposite end is rigidly secured on extruder body. Die provided with diametric projections which can displace in follower guides. The latter are arranged in parallel with screw axis. Radial slot is made on outer surface of die. Profiling plate with hole is arranged in this slot. Hole of plate registers with hole of forming channel being of similar shape with channel hole. Other end of plate is connected with roller in contact with follower. EFFECT: provision of stabilization of pressure in pre-die zone of extruder at changing of parameters of process when extruding different materials. 2 dwg
