FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring twice lipid peroxidation (LPO) level (at the beginning and at the end of treatment course) in myocardial infarction patients delivered to hospital, and finding out if the patient suffers from arterial hypertension and had attacks of myocardial infarction in earlier period. Then, prognosis coefficient is calculated from a formula of K=0.87+0.026815(X1X2)+0.00000407(X3X4), where K is the prognosis coefficient, X1 is the availability of arterial hypertension (1- none, 2- light case, 3- moderate case, 4- severe case), X2 is the availability of earlier case of myocardial infarction (1-no, 2- yes), X3 is the LPO level of patients when delivered to hospital (at the first or second day of myocardial infarction disease), X4 is the LPO level of patients to be dismissed from hospital (at the twenty fifth - thirty fifth day of myocardial infarction disease). K value being less than 1.1, favorable patient health state is predicted to be retained during one year after overcoming the myocardial infarction disease. EFFECT: simple and accurate prognosis method.
