FIELD: microwave engineering. SUBSTANCE: generator has electron-emitting cathode, first grid for controlling and focusing flow of electrons emitted by cathode, and choke structure that functions as capacitor; cathode, first grid, and choke structure form input cavity that functions as resonance-tuned circuit. In addition, generator incorporates trimming resistor one of whose leads is connected to first grid and its other lead, to cathode for applying bias voltage across first grid; it also has second grid arranged above first one and provided with many slits passing electron beams as well as anode receiving electrons passed through second-grid slits, field voltage supply for anode and cathode, antenna for conveying microwaves away from output cavity formed by means of second grid and anode, and also feedback structure between input cavity and output one to pass some portion of microwave-frequency energy back to input cavity. EFFECT: simplified design. 6 cl, 9 dwg
