FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: structural thermal-insulating component is intended for use in civic and industrial buildings and structures. Component has body containing at least one layer of high density and strength, and thermal-insulating layer made of porous material. Component is of monoblock design and is made of at least partially foamed preferably inorganic material with variable porosity and with at least one dense zone adjoining at least one face surface. Thickness of dense zone is equal to 1.5-75 % of monoblock thickness. Body of monoblock is of self-bearing or load-bearing construction and is formed by aforesaid dense zone and by at least part of thermal-insulating layer. Application of aforesaid embodiment of thermal-insulating component can prolong service life of buildings and structures. It is of less labour-intensity to manufacture and of less negative effect on ecological situation inside building or structure and on environment beyond building or structure.
