FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to flow meters based on Coriolis effect that can be used to measure flow rate in large diameter pipe-lines. Information on mass flow rate of material flowing over entire pipe-line is generated on basis of information on flow rate of material through straight tube placed inside pipe- line which is imparted with the aid of exciter with vibrations in direction transverse to its longitudinal axis on resonance frequency of tube and material inside it. In one particular case of measurement of flow rate of high-viscosity materials tube is enclosed with housing inside which pressure equal to pressure of material in pipe-line is kept with the use of pressure monitoring aids. Transducers measuring bending of tube in transverse direction caused by Coriolis forces are anchored between exciter and ends of tube. Invention provides for increased sensitivity thanks to employment of flow rate tube which cross-section area is at least by one order less than cross-section area of pipe-line which makes it possible to manufacture this tube from less rigid material. EFFECT: increased measurement sensitivity. 16 cl, 8 dwg
