FIELD: production of furniture, in particular, convertible armchairs and sofas. SUBSTANCE: convertible furniture has carcass, sides rigidly attached to carcass, movable back and seat which are secured to carcass for rotation relative to horizontal pin and forward and backward displacement during conversion, retractable member used for lengthening seating and lying surface and provided with end support, and cushion adapted to be positioned on retractable member. Carcass is made in the form of hollow casing adapted for receiving cushion, when furniture is converted into seat. Seat and back have carcass with rigid base and cushion positioned onto base. Retractable member guides are fastened under seat rigid base. Retractable member is formed of rigid boards with restrictor at end part. Cushion adapted to be put onto retractable member is made detachable. EFFECT: simplified construction, wider operational capabilities and increased convenience. 4 dwg
