APPARATUS FOR CUTTING MOVING TUBES Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of tubes in hot or cold state. SUBSTANCE: electric motor with cutting disc is mounted on pin of first crank shaft with possibility of rotation. Casing of electric motor is joined with yoke of Cardan joint transmission whose second yoke is mounted stationary along rotation axle of first crank shaft. At cutting tube support is mounted on pin of second crank shaft rigidly or rotatably and it is joined with yoke of second Cardan joint transmission whose second yoke is mounted stationary along rotation axle of second crank shaft. Both crank shafts are connected with electric drive by means of gearing. Mass of movable members of apparatus is significantly less than that of identical-designation apparatuses. EFFECT: possibility of high accuracy cutting of tubes by lengths necessary for user, lowered waste quantity, reduced cost of mounting apparatus in line of tube rolling mill, decreased energy consumption for tube manufacture. 2 cl, 2 dwg
