FIELD: metallurgy, refining of crude silicon melted out in ore-smelting furnace and silicon alloys, for instance, ferrosilicon. SUBSTANCE: method includes treatment of melt in ladle in presence of flux with oxygen supplied through device for gas blowing. In so doing, melt is treated in two phases: at the first phase melt is blown with mixture and air/or inert gas in the course of melt pouring out of furnace into ladle up to full filling with continuous uniform of flux onto melt surface; at the second stage melt is treated with air and/or inert gas after filling. In this case, blowing of melt with gases is conducted through porous part of ladle bottom. Silicon melt is treated at the second phase with air or inert gas until melt temperature in ladle is 1450-1150 C. Supplied at the second phase to silicon melt may be fines or refined silicon.
