FIELD: production of sheet glass with more equilibrium thickness used on lines for production of glass by float-process. SUBSTANCE: glass with more equilibrium thickness is produced by restriction of transverse spreading of glass mass with its simultaneous retaining in zone of location of restrictors by additional restriction members whose position and angles of turning relative to restrictors may vary depending on thickness of produced glass. Preliminarily formed strip with plane-parallel profile may be fixed by cooling or required thickness and width may be imparted by active formation with the known methods by selection of working rates and bead-retaining machines without repeated heating. EFFECT: production of glass strip with low difference in thickness. 2 dwg, 2 ex
