FIELD: measurement of gas flow. SUBSTANCE: oscillator is symmetrical relative to longitudinal plane of symmetry; it has inlet for fluid medium for forming two-dimensional jet of fluid medium which oscillates in transversal direction relative to plane of symmetry, obstacle with cavity inside it which is directed towards above-mentioned fluid medium inlet and is washed with oscillating jet. Obstacle has front wall with front flat surfaces which bound cavity; plane of each surface is approximately perpendicular to plane of symmetry. Cavity is bounded by surface which is approximately parallel to plane of symmetry at points where this surface is connected with each front surface; obstacle has two side walls whose surfaces are essentially parallel to plane of symmetry at points where each of them is connected with respective front surface.
