FIELD: gas flow meters. SUBSTANCE: liquid oscillator is symmetrical relative to longitudinal plane of symmetry where direction of liquid or gas flow lies; it includes device for generating two-dimensional jet which oscillates in transversal direction relative to above-mentioned longitudinal plane of symmetry, two ultrasonic converters and device for generation of ultrasonic signal in liquid or gas flow in way from one converter to other and receiving this signal is modulated by oscillations of jet; it also includes unit for processing received signal in order to detect volume of liquid or gas flowing through liquid oscillator. Ultrasonic converters are located in longitudinal plane of symmetry. EFFECT: enhanced sensitivity of oscillator; enhanced accuracy of measurement of flow rate or volume. 27 cl, 17 dwg
