FIELD: analyzing clusters of any substances including nonmagnetic ones. SUBSTANCE: clusters are separated in laminar gas flow by applying gas dynamics forces built up due to flow of clusters-containing rarefied supersonic gas over convex corner. Clusters are entrapped by collector chamber depending on angles of deflection from axes according to fractions. Device implementing proposed method has cluster generator with flat nozzle, deflecting yoke, and cluster catcher. Deflecting yoke is made in the form of convex corner formed by nozzle wall and cluster collector chamber wall. Collector chamber is mounted at nozzle outlet and cluster catcher is set up of boxes installed in collector in parallel to its wall. Cluster generator with its nozzle and cluster collector chamber is recommended to be installed in pipe and slits tilted through angle parallel to channel axis are to be made in side surface of chamber.
