FIELD: systems and processes for making melt iron with use of non-coking coal. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of using laser as pickup for measuring penetration depth of leading end of oxygen tuyere; connecting said laser pickup with computer for comparing received signal with optimal predetermined value; controlling pressure in melting gasification module in dependance upon penetration depth at changing opening degree of scrubber cone. Method allows to actively react upon depth changing. EFFECT: possibility of optimal control of penetration depth based upon volumetric oxygen flowrate, its fluctuation, changes of material forming compacted coal layer and pressure applied to melting-gasifying module for controlling flowrate of oxygen blowing. 5 cl, 3 dwg
