FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: molten cast iron or molten steel intermediate product are produced by way of preliminarily reducing raw material into spongy iron in reactor with fluidized bed. Final reduction and smelting are performed in melting-gasification reactor owing to supplying solid carbon-containing material and oxygen-containing gas to simultaneously form CO and $$$-containing reduction gas. Gas is divided into two parts which are separately fed into conical and cylindrical sections of fluidized-bed reactor. In the meantime, raw material is preheated and gas fed into conical section of fluidized- bed reactor is preliminarily treated in hot cyclone. Installation comprises at least one reduction reactor and, connected to it, melting-gasification reactor. Reduction gas pipeline from melting- gasification reactor bifurcates before reduction reactor, one branch leading to upper conical and the other to lower cylindrical section of reactor. Installation is provided with preheater made in the form of fluidized-bed reactor connected with reduction reactor and gas- treatment unit set up in pipeline branch leading to cylindrical section of reduction reactor. There is also production line with additional fluidized bed preheater and additional reduction reactor. Gas duct linking the latter to preheater has branch, and additional reduction reactor is connected with effluent gas duct from main preheater, gas duct between main reduction reactor and main preheater communicating through additional pipeline with effluent gas duct from main preheater. EFFECT: improved installation design. 20 cl, 3 dwg
