FIELD: operation of continuous welded railroad track. SUBSTANCE: with detected fatigue crack in foot of rail length, six-hole cover plates are installed on affected section so that cover plate middle coincides with fatigue crack. Clamp bolts tightening force in zone of fatigue crack is reduced to 0.5 of rated one on definite ties, and tie plates from rubberized cord are replaced with rubber ones. In so doing, the cover plates are installed either on all six bolts, or on four extreme bolts. Rubber tie plates with riffled surface are installed to under rail foot.
