FIELD: procedure of gas scrubbing of solid, liquid and toxic inclusions, may be applicable for heat exchange and mass transfer between gas and liquid. SUBSTANCE: the invention solves the problem of the method of gas scrubbing and creation of a device realizing this method, characterized by a wide range of variation of rate of scrubbed gas, relatively low resistance to air flow, enhanced degree of gas scrubbing and reliability of operation at a lower heat rate for preheating of scrubbed gases. The method of gas scrubbing consists in gas feed through a delivery branch pipe to the lower part of the scrubber, passing of curled gas flow through an annular vane swirler, and its interaction with the liquid fed by a countercurrent flow with formation of an emulsion layer. Gases are fed from top to bottom along the body axis; the tangential component of the gas flow rate through the annular vane swirler is determined proceeding from the following dependence: , where W_t - tangential component of the gas flow rate in the annular slot, r-equivalent radius of scrubber. The device for gas scrubbing has a body, branch pipes for delivery and discharge of gases, sprinkler, annular vane swirler. The gas delivery branch pipe is located in the center of the body along its axis with formation of an annular gap accommodating the vane swirler made in the form of plates; and a repelling cone is installed in the lower part of the body opposite the branch pipe.
