FIELD: metal working. SUBSTANCE: working is performed by end-face surface of grinding wheel. Axis of wheel rotation is positioned at an acute angle to straight line perpendicular to axis of blank rotation. Angle is determined depending on eccentricity value of blank noncircular section and grinding wheel diameter on which it contacts blank. Rotary planetary motion around perpendicular straight line coupled kinematically with blank rotation is imparted to wheel spindle axis. It makes possible to change an angle of abrasive grain position relative to surface being worked. The principle of nonrecurrent-trace is realized. The method provides for burnless grinding, favorable conditions of cutting and improved conditions of self-sharpening of abrasive grinding wheel.
