METHOD OF ARTICLE SURFACE COATING WITH POLYMER SHEET MATERIAL Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: forming and binding of plastics, particularly, methods of heat forming of polymer sheets for coating of article surfaces; applicable in making of table components, mainly, table top. SUBSTANCE: method of coating with polymer sheet material of metal articles surface includes placing sheet on metal article, heating with flanging on sheet material over article perimeter and jointing of sheet material and article. Heating of freely laid sheet material is carried out at temperature of 200-210 C for 7.5-8.0 h. After formation of flanging on sheet material, it is cooled. Then flanged material is removed from article and binding agent is applied to it and subsequent binding of them under pressure. Binding is effected with use of binding agent and distributed loading.
