FIELD: manufacture of lead-acid cells and storage batteries. SUBSTANCE: cells with unformed negative plates after assembly are subjected to partial discharge with current density 0.3-0.6 A/sq dm till 40-70% discharge of rated value of capacity is achieved under 20 hour mode. EFFECT: prolonged storage time, simplified storage conditions and reduced time of activation.
