SUBSTANCE: 1,2-dehydroderivatives of 4-delta-3-ketosteroids are produced by transformation of 4-delta-3-ketosteroids, for example, hydrocortisone, Reichstein's substance "S", androstendione and others by bacterium Arthrobacter globiformis in the presence of water-soluble chemically modified derivatives of beta-cyclodextrin (hydroxypropylcyclodextrin, methylcyclodextrin and others). Use of water-soluble derivatives of beta-cyclodextrin ensures to carry out the transformation of 4-delta-3-ketosteroids at high (above 20 g/l) substrate loading, at complete selective conversion of substrate to the end product and high rates of process.
