FIELD: metallurgy, specifically, smelting of electrical sheet steel in converter, its out-of-furnace treatment in ladle during continuous casting. SUBSTANCE: according to proposal continuous casting of electrical sheet steel from ladle is started after time determined by dependence: τ1 = K•[40+(1,5•ΔSi+1,1•ΔAl-3,5•Δq)•102], after correction of chemical composition of steel by injection of Al and/or Si and subsequent blow of metal with argon, where τ1 is time between finish of additional blow of melt in ladle with argon and start of continuous casting, min; ΔAl and ΔSi are quantities of injected Al and Si correspondingly during correction of chemical composition of steel, per cent by mass; Δq is consumption of argon during additional blow of steel, cu.m/t.min; K is empirical coefficient equal to 0.35-0.80 min. When chemical composition of steel in ladle is corrected start of addition of Al in ladle is established by dependence τ2 = K•[40+(1,8•ΔAl-3,5•Δq)•102]. When chemical composition of steel in ladle is corrected by addition of Si start of time counting is found by dependence τ3 = K•[40+(1,2•ΔSi-3,5•Δq)•102]. EFFECT: improved quality of continuously cast ingot, increased quality of steel by content of nonmetal inclusions, raised output of highest brands of metal. 1 cl, 3 tbl
