FIELD: measurement technology, fiber optics. SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for contact-free conversion of displacement to electric signal. Transducer includes radiation source made of controlled radiator, optical circuit, beam splitter and photodetector, fiber- optical converter with lead light guide and two collecting light guides, two photodetectors optically coupled to collecting light guides of fiber-optical converter, measurement channel incorporating voltage-controlled generator, gated voltage- controlled generator, clock oscillator, coincidence element, two electron keys and counters. Specific feature of transducer consists in employment of fiber-optical converter with two arms based on one lead and two collecting light guides whose conversion factor meets following relation: Kfoc2= 0,9Kfoc1. Vernier method of measurement which enables measurement accuracy to be raised by 10 times is realized with the aid of measurement channel of transducer.
