SUBSTANCE: described are new nitrobenzamides represented by formula I: , salt or solvate thereof, wherein Ar is aryl optionally substituted by C_1-6 alkyl, OH, C_1-6 alkoxyl; A is C_1-4 alkylene optionally substituted by 1 or 2 C_1-6 alkyl; R is hydrogen, C_1-6 alkyl, one of R₂, R₃ and R₄ is nitro, and others are hydrogen atom; X is -CO-NH; Z is -(CH₂)₃-. Compounds of formula I show antiarrhythmic activity and have improved pharmacological characteristics as compared with well-known antiarrhythmic agents. Also described are pharmacological composition based on compounds of formula I and method of preparing thereof and method of medical treatment and prophylaxis of arrhythmia and ischemic disorders of rhythm including addition of effective amount of compounds of formula I.
