FIELD: microbiology. SUBSTANCE: steroids are preferably introduced in the form of pharmaceutical composition comprising one or more pharmaceutical acceptable fillers and are used as neutrochemical effectors of physiology and behavior. Described is steroid compound of formula I: wherein R1 is selected from group consisting of one or two hydrogen atoms, methyl or methylene; R2 is selected from group consisting of hydrogen or methyl; R3 is selected from group consisting of oxo, hydroxy, lower alkoxy, lower acyloxy, benzoyl, pipionyl, glucoronide and sulfonyl; R4 is selected from group consisting of hydrogen, hydroxy, lower alkoxy and lower acyloxy, oxo and halogen; R5 is non-existent or is selected from consisting R6 of hydrogen or halogen; "a" is optional aromatic unsaturation of ring A or said steroid, or "b", "c" and "d" each are optional double bonds.
