FIELD: corrosion protection; manufacture of corrosion inhibitors; corrosion protection of various metals and alloys working in aggressive media, for example sea-going vessels, railway and motor transport, pipe lines and equipment of gas, chemical, petro- chemical and power industries. SUBSTANCE: corrosion inhibitor includes finely dispersed silicon dioxide and anticorrosion components such as mixture of magnesium oxide, hydroxide and/or calcium aluminosilicate at the following ratio of components, mass-%: Si, 70 to 80; Mg, 15 to 20 and Ca, 5 to 10. It is good practice to use silicon dioxide whose does not exceed 300 mkm in size. Proposed corrosion inhibitor may be used for protection of various materials in wide range of operating conditions in mixture with any anticorrosion protective components. This corrosion inhibitor is highly resistant in acid, alkali and high-salt media, at atmospheric and ground corrosion under any atmospheric conditions; it is heat-resistant (up to 600 C in mixture with silicon organic compositions) and is not biologically active (may by used in food-processing industry). EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 1 tbl
