FIELD: recovering solid radioactive wastes including spent coal sorbents. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes sorbent pre-pulverizing, mixing up with inorganic binder, water, and additives reducing radionuclide leachability. Radioactive coal sorbents are pre-pulverized in cone mill provided with delivery screw and bin with feed screw tilted through certain angle to longitudinal axis of delivery screw. Added to wastes being recovered is aqueous solution of surface-active substances in following coal sorbent to solution mass proportion: 1 : 1 to 1 : 0.01. Concentration of surface-active substances in solution is chosen between 0.01 and 50 mass percent. Proposed method provides for increasing admission of radioactive wastes in compound and reduced binder consumption.
