METHOD FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF GIRDER BRIDGE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: bridge building. SUBSTANCE: method consists in erection of additional supporting members, dismantling of the existing girder framework during interruption of movement and restoration of the upper road structure. The novelty is in the fact that at reconstruction of short or medium single-span bridges on acting roads the additional supporting members are made in the form of new sofa-type abutments with bearing plates. Prior to erection of the additional supporting members or simultaneously with their erection, the upper part of the old abutments is disassembled up to the elevation located below the elevation of the bottom of the new framework by the value determined by the illustrated dependence. Dismantling of each old abutment is carried out with leaving of a supporting lug in the form of part of the front wall of the old abutment. The new sofa-type abutments with bearing plates are erected with resting at least of part of the length through a rubble pad or bedding against the non-dismantled part of the old abutment with rest against the supporting lug. Then, the new framework is mounted, which should rest against new sofa-type abutments. EFFECT: enhanced reliability, durability of reconstructed bridge and reduced labour and material expenditures due to exclusion of the necessity of diversion of water-flow bed and its constraint. 4 cl, 2 dwg
