FIELD: environment control; control of oil spread in case of damage of toil lines and ships. SUBSTANCE: device has floating unit with pressure member and reservoir located on its side and load-bearing frame with floats, conveyer system, roller of drive, guide rollers and tension roller. Outrigger and chute communicated with reservoir are mounted on floating unit. Conveyer system is made in form of multi-row multi-layer sorbing elements consisting of carrying belt, layers of hydrophobic oleophilic absorbent and protective envelope directed towards surface of water. Roller of drive, tension roller and guide rollers are provided with circular projections. Load-bearing frame is articulated to outrigger. Multi-row and multi-layer sorbing elements have pitch in row no less than width of one multi-layer sorbing element. Carrying belt is made from canvas cloth, layers of hydrophobic oleophilic sorbent are made from cotton-containing sorbent; protective envelope is made from durable fabric cloth or synthetic cloth. Each row of multi-layer sorbing elements in conveyer system is sawn over edges. Conveyer system and pressure unit have common detachable grip. Device may be provided with several conveyer system located at angle relative to one another on water surface.
