FIELD: heat power engineering and transport engineering; engine cooling systems. SUBSTANCE: radiator has upper and lower tanks and core placed in between. Core consists of tubes along which cooling liquid flows and wavy channels for cooling air made of porous metal filling the space between above-mentioned tubes, side walls and front and rear surfaces of core. Porous metal in indicated volume is made of compact melted metal by filling the indicated space with grainy material whose melting temperature exceeds that of melting temperature of porous metal, heating grainy material and tubes to temperature close to melting temperature of compact metal, filling the spaces between grains of grainy material with melted metal and evacuation of grainy material after cooling. Invention improves heat transfer strength, vibration resistance and rigidity and reduces labour input in manufacture of radiator. EFFECT: reduced of manufacture. 3 cl, 2 dwg
