FIELD: composites. SUBSTANCE: composite consists of porous fibrous support or blank thickened with matrix, in particular of parts of carbon-carbon composite with ceramic matrix. Between the beginning and the end of chemical infiltration process, infiltration conditions are modified by varying at least one infiltration parameter, including residence time of gas phase within the shell, pressure, temperature, concentration of precursor or possible additive in gas phase in such a way as to adapt infiltration conditions to variation of pore size in support. EFFECT: achieved control of microstructure of material being precipitated toward the interior of support. 8 cl, 10 ex
