FIELD: composite materials. SUBSTANCE: composite contains reinforcing element consisted of silicon carbide fibers and interphase layer between reinforcing element fibers and matrix. Fibers are made in the form of long fibers having less than 5 atomic % of residual oxygen and module above 250 GPa, whereas interphase layer is strongly joined with fibers and matrix such that values of rupture strength in the section inside interphase layer and at the level of fiber-interphase layer and interphase layer-matrix joints are superior to those in the section inside matrix. As a result, extension of cracks to interphase layer is more efficiently hindered. EFFECT: improved strength properties of composite. 17 cl, 1 dwg, 3 ex
