FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used while working out single or formation of adjacent gently dipping or inclined seams of column system of mining with their preparation by coupled workings and abandoning of separating pillar in worked out space. In correspondence with invention pillar between coupled workings is strengthened by anchors on side of each working. On side of filled working anchors should have length less than half-width of pillar and their length on side of working used again should be greater than half-width of pillar. Anchors on side of working used again should dismounted prior to its filling. Width of pillar between workings is found by empirical formula. EFFECT: increased efficiency and safety of operations while mining coal by system of long columns. 1 cl, 3 dwg
