METHOD OF PROTECTION OF IN-BED MINE WORKINGS Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: mining; applicable in provision of maintenance-free protection of in-bed mine workings with practical use of typical systems of preparation of mine fields due to rational control of stresses and strains in enclosing rocks. SUBSTANCE: method includes driving of one or a few parallel workings, bed extraction by wide breakage face, breakage of side rocks with their location in worked out space in bed in form of rock pack and supply of grouting mortar to extreme parts of rock pack adjacent to working wall. Grouting mortar may be supplied to rock pack at distance from working walls not less than distance to maximum support pressure. In driving of two and more parallel workings, it is possible to leave part of noncemented rocks between parts of rock pack consolidated with grouting mortar equaling, at least, two-fold width of consolidated part of rock pack. EFFECT: higher stability of in-bed mine workings and provided their maintenance-free protection during entire service life with maximum amount of rocs left in mine. 3 cl, 3 dwg
