FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of organization of working process in compression ignition engines. Method includes two-phase delivery of fuel. Amount of first phase fuel is sufficient for ignition second phase fuel. Introduction of second portion of fuel provides maximum combustion rate from moment corresponding to turn of crankshaft after top dead center through 10-15 deg process of combustion ends at turning of crankshaft after dead center through 40-60 deg, not later depending on cyclic delivery of fuel.
