FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: modular set of vehicle engine fuel system has fuel tank in inner space of which electric fuel pump is mounted with clearance. Pump is enclosed by acoustic energy dissipator made in form of perforated capsule arranged equidistantly relative to walls of housing of electric fuel pump. Distance from side walls of pump housing to walls of perforated capsule is equal to 1/4 of length of sound wave of dominating frequency radiated by housing of electric fuel pump. Capsule can be made of highly damping metal porous screen material or rubberized metal. Capsule and housing of electric fuel pump are in local contact through vibration damping elements made of same material. EFFECT: improved vibration damping of noise generated in closed space of fuel tank chamber at simultaneous widening of damping range. 3 cl, 1 dwg
